Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:

• You meet the minimum age requirement.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
• You are not prohibited from using the Platform under any applicable law.
• You are not located in a jurisdiction where the use of blockchain-based platforms or digital tokens is prohibited.
• You will comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.

To access certain features, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
• Maintain and promptly update your account information.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
• Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) when available for enhanced security.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or engage in fraudulent activity.

ChessChain provides a blockchain-powered chess platform on the Solana network. Our services include:

• Chess Gameplay: Online chess games powered by Lichess integration, including AI opponents, matchmaking, and friend challenges.
• Tournaments: Competitive events with CCHN token entry fees and prize pools.
• Daily Puzzles: Chess puzzles with CCHN token rewards for correct solutions.
• Referral Program: Reward points for successful user referrals, redeemable for CCHN tokens.
• Token Presale: Opportunity to purchase CCHN tokens during designated presale periods.
• Airdrops: Community token distribution events.
• Learning Resources: Structured chess curriculum and interactive lessons.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service or feature at any time, with or without notice.

The ChessChain Token ("CCHN") is a utility token on the Solana blockchain (SPL Token standard). By acquiring, holding, or using CCHN tokens, you acknowledge and agree that:

• CCHN is a utility token designed for use within the ChessChain platform. It is not a security, equity, share, bond, or other financial instrument.
• CCHN does not represent any ownership interest in ChessChain or any affiliated entity.
• CCHN does not entitle holders to dividends, profit sharing, or any guaranteed returns.
• The value of CCHN may fluctuate and you may lose some or all of the value of your tokens.
• ChessChain does not guarantee any exchange listing, secondary market, or liquidity for CCHN.
• You are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from the acquisition, holding, or disposal of CCHN tokens.

Certain features require connecting a Solana-compatible wallet (e.g., Phantom, Solflare). You acknowledge that:

• You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, private keys, and seed phrases.
• Blockchain transactions are irreversible. We cannot reverse, cancel, or refund any on-chain transaction.
• You bear all risks associated with blockchain network congestion, failures, or forks.
• You are responsible for ensuring sufficient SOL for transaction fees (gas).
• ChessChain is not responsible for losses resulting from wallet compromise, loss of private keys, or errors in transaction addresses.

By participating in tournaments, you agree to:

• Pay the required CCHN entry fee as specified for each tournament.
• A 10% rake applies to all tournament entry fees, of which 50% is permanently burned and 50% goes to the platform treasury.
• Abide by fair play rules. Use of chess engines, bots, or external assistance during games is strictly prohibited.
• Accept that tournament results and prize distributions are final.
• Accept that ChessChain may cancel, modify, or reschedule tournaments at its discretion.

Violations of fair play rules will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of entry fees and prizes, and potential account suspension or termination.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Use chess engines, bots, or automated software to play games or solve puzzles.
• Create multiple accounts to exploit referral rewards, airdrops, or promotions.
• Manipulate or attempt to manipulate token prices, markets, or trading volumes.
• Engage in market manipulation, wash trading, or front-running.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Platform or smart contracts.
• Attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the Platform, smart contracts, or related systems.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Platform's infrastructure.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Engage in harassment, abuse, or threatening behavior toward other users.
• Circumvent any anti-bot, whitelist, or access control mechanisms.
• Use the Platform from a jurisdiction where such use is prohibited.

All content, trademarks, logos, designs, and software on the Platform are the property of ChessChain or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from Platform content without prior written consent.
• Use the ChessChain name, logo, or branding for any purpose without authorization.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any Platform software.

Chess gameplay is powered by Lichess's open-source infrastructure and Stockfish engine, which are licensed under their respective open-source licenses (AGPL). ChessChain's proprietary additions, including but not limited to the token economy, smart contracts, and platform-specific features, remain our intellectual property.

The Platform integrates with third-party services including but not limited to:

• Lichess: Chess gameplay, puzzles, and tournaments.
• Solana Network: Blockchain transactions and smart contract execution.
• Wallet Providers: Phantom, Solflare, and other Solana-compatible wallets.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.

THE PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
• WARRANTIES THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
• WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF ANY INFORMATION ON THE PLATFORM.
• WARRANTIES REGARDING THE VALUE, LIQUIDITY, OR TRADABILITY OF CCHN TOKENS.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CHESSCHAIN AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or digital assets (including CCHN tokens).
• Losses arising from blockchain network issues, smart contract vulnerabilities, wallet compromise, or unauthorized access.
• Losses arising from fluctuations in the value of CCHN tokens or other digital assets.
• Losses arising from the use of or inability to use the Platform.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to ChessChain in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ChessChain and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Platform or CCHN tokens.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Your violation of any third-party rights.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on the Platform with an updated "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you must stop using the Platform.

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Reasons for termination may include:

• Violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
• Fraudulent or suspicious activity.
• Engagement in prohibited conduct (Section 7).
• Extended inactivity.
• Request by law enforcement or government authority.

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Any CCHN tokens in your connected wallet remain your property, as they exist on the Solana blockchain independently of the Platform. However, any unclaimed rewards, pending transactions, or platform-specific balances may be forfeited.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved through:

1. Informal Resolution: The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at support@chesschain.club.
2. Mediation: If informal resolution fails within 30 days, the parties agree to attempt mediation before a mutually agreed mediator.
3. Arbitration: If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of a recognized arbitration institution.

You agree to waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against ChessChain.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and ChessChain regarding the use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements.
