In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage and session storage for:

• Caching wallet connection state for the Solana wallet adapter.
• Storing temporary game state during active chess games.
• PWA (Progressive Web App) functionality and offline support.

Local storage data persists until explicitly cleared by the user or the application. Session storage is automatically cleared when the browser tab is closed.
